Setup

 I received my new TIG welder from R-Tech (Top People!) and had a play at the weekend. I've made a makeshift welding bench to try it out and I have to say the welder is fab. On my first attempt I managed a half decent weld on both steel and aluminum. Now I'm sure with practice I can get a lot better and hard core welders would pick holes in my attempts but for me I'm pretty pleased!

Bench setup. I will be making a proper welding table but that's next time.

Whilst these may not look much, its taken me 30 years to get to the point where I can make a half decent weld in aluminum. Isn't technology wonderful (sometimes)
